I read about a chapter of that each night. I've read all of the New testament, and am currently in Job in the Old. |

I just got on Acts last night. I started out on Genesis like last. . . spring. Took me a while. I almost rememered each of Jesus's parables. They just keep doing different versions until after Romans. |

I like the Old Testament for it shows how accurate and percise the Jews really were. To me it's the back up proof for God. The New Testament is just plain cool! |

i tried reading the bible once, but it just got boring, too preachy. the poetic edda! now thats a good read! the religion of the the norsemen stories where the gods odin frigg thor ec actually go on adventures! |

It depend on what you read actually. One has to remember that the bible is actually made of many different books. Some are more interesting than others. A great example is Numbers. NUMBERS IS EXACTLY AS IT SOUNDS. However if you read the Song of Songs...or oh biscuit...what AM I thinking of...is it Ezra? I was to say Ezra but I know that's wrong. Waaaiittt...ESTHER!! It's ESTHER!! Esther rocks. Esther is about Esther, who married a king...it's a good story. (No, NOT lovey dovey. Someone gets impaled.) |

... Well, it is kinda "preachy". It's about God! It's not a dime novel! Besides, you gotta look at the Bible this way... blueprints. It's blueprints to how God layed out everything to equal salvation. If you read the New Teastment first and saw how AWESOME Jesus is! Then read the Old Teastment, you'll see that the Old Teastment is like blueprints. |
