We have more than one priest, hence pastor. He typically does the sermons though.

You know, I believe I read somewhere more atheists read the bible than devout followers. I hope to dive into some of it this summer, as I should be well-informed if I plan to continue following God.

... bull! I am still new in the faith, but I will say this that an atheist doesn't know shiz compared to some of the people I know. People who can quote the bible like that *snap*.

I encourage you to, bkev. I encourage you to get a Bible study to help answer questions and read the New Tesament first. If you read the Old Testament first, you'll think were a bunch of a nut cases @.@

With all due respect, most atheists think that about any part of the bible.

But you should read some from the Ethiopian canon from the Orthodox Church, Uriel is mentioned

Either way, stats don't lie, atheists enjoy the Bible. Either to better know their enemy, or in most cases, read it for it's beautiful symbolism and philosophy.

I read parts of Genesis when I was a kid and loved the hell out of it (no pun intended). Still not a believer in any way, just like to read it now and again.

I will agree with Minagi. When you start reading the bible, start with New Testament. The Old is a beast. I've read all of the New Testament now and I'm currently in Psalms.

You gotta think of what the "stats" are referring to. Do you know how many Americans say their Christian because they go to Church or their parents are? That's the stats are referring to! Just becauese 85% of the pop. is Protesant doesn't mean anything, it just tells you what religion their in. Does not tell you if they are true believers. So, from that perspective I can believe that ahteist know more about the Bible than "devout believers", which are the genric clowns grinning like idiots in church. Now, they need to be in church, but they need to remind themselves... WHY THEY ARE THERE! I go to Church for I want to grow closer with God and get to know my church family better, not because it's what everybody is doing. XP

... Stat is based on a survey, which proves that men are MORE HONEST than women, ergo, admit they cheated.

Too damned hot!

So...it's so freaking hot here I can hardly sleep at night, so I snagged a fan of my mother's.

Couldn't sleep because it was too loud. I shut it off.

Then i couldn't sleep because it was too hot.

...not. fair.

That's bad. But try cold nights AND allergy attacks - that's how my frien'ds doing. I could hear him sneezing in the other room.

Keep in mind, cold weather for us is like low 60's-low 50's.

Pfft. It's not cold until it's 10.

If it's negative, it too DAMNED cold.
