I just got back from an anime/sci-fi/horror/comic convention in Toronto. They had a ton of celebrities there. I didn't get much chance to see a lot of the anime part though, other than the hall cosplayers. I didn't even get into the cosplay masquerade. They had 10,000 people there and only 2,000 seats in the hall. But the reason I thought you guys would like to know is. I got to meet Bruce Campbell from the Evil Dead and Army of Darkness movies. I had to pay for it though but it was very exciting to meet one of my idols. I also got to meet Robert Duncan McNeil (Tom Paris from Star Trek Voyager)and The Soup Nazi from Seinfeld. I saw Lou Ferigno (The Hulk TV show from the 80's), Linda Hamilton (Sarah Connor), Billy Dee Williams (Lando from Star Wars), Leonard Nimoy (The origional Spock), Walter Koening (The originoal Chekov), Avery Brooks (Commander Cisco Star Trek Deep Space 9), Beau Bridges (Tron), and I met a whole bunch of Comic book artists and got some of their autographs. Leslie Nielson was there too but he was feeling too sick to meet fans. Anyway the con was really good. Friday and Sunday were the best. Saturday was REDICULOUSLY PACKED BUSY. The Star Wars costumes were unbelievably perfect. And it was a bit of a bummer that you had to pay for pics or autographs with the celebrities. Well most of them anyway. I didn't get a chance to see any of the anime guests though. One I'd already met, the other was Crispen Freeman but I just didn't have a chance to go see him. It was too busy. There were all kinds of TV shows filming there and Internet shows too. And the cosplay girls.... hot. I love how the fangirls are getting better and better looking. |

Lou Ferigno is at a lot of cons. He was at comicon the past two times I went. So cool that you met Billy Dee Williams though! Hehe, cosplay. This can be good and bad. Cons are lots a fun if you know what you're getting into. |

I didn't actually get to meet Billy Dee, I saw him but was on my way to see something. I think it was Bruce Campbell, maybe it was my failed attempt to see Leslie Nielson. I got a pic of the hulk though signing autographs. He's still huge I didn't want to mess with him within arm's reach |
