Don't worry too much about a serious relationship in high school bkev, not a lot of folks end up with their high school sweet hearts. If you find something, stick with it as long as it feels right. If not, it's always okay to let go.

Don't think about the end. Just don't assume forever. Think about what is and enjoy it.

Or go with the flow... Too much planning ruins things. Who wants something special to end prematurely? And the male brain is just as complicated as the female's brain... Guys tend to push away thoughts and feelings they aren't ready to handle yet though. Mostly. So it usually comes out as sophomoric.

I agree with Crumpets that too much planning is a bad thing. It can lead to all kinds of expectations that can lead to disappointments in the sort term. A relationship is something that has to be grown or cultivated over time and may not turn out the way you had expected at the beginning. It might turn out a lot better than you anticipate, so don't limit yourself right away. Having a general vision for the future that the two of you can share is fine now, save all the nitpicky details for when you decide to get married (that's when things will really get complicated ^_^;;).

Comix is also correct, you have to start out assuming that this will be the big one, the one that will last forever. If you assume it will end in a few months then you are setting yourself up to fail. You'll have to remain open to the possibility of it never ending.
