Seeing as how we are just into the new decade, heres a couple things I'm looking forward too, and hope to see

New:

Ookami Kakushi (Which literally means "Wolfed Away")
I found this anime through Anime Planet (AP), it is currently AIC's newest anime, and seeing how AIC has made some of the greatest anime ever, I figured what the heck I'll take a shot at it, I have never heard of or seen anything for it until I recently watched it. It turns out it was a PSP game, but was so successful that both a manga and anime were put into production not even 3 months after the games release, (and it currently has almost 1000 people following it on AP which for an anime not even 4 months into production is pretty astounding for fansubs), Needless to say, the first episode was pretty riveting, and I intend to see it through when it finishes!


Trigun: Badlands Rumble (Trigun: The Movie)
After almost 12 years, Trigun is getting a movie, and I'm excited. Trigun has always been a series I liked, not that I constantly praise it, but it will always have my respect for being a badass series, and to see an anime get a new edition after almost a decade gives me hope that more directors will take this route and maybe reboot a series or add new things to some classics (Outlaw Star anyone? please!?!, lol)


Localized:

Saint Knight's Tale
Now that was a no brainer wasn't it =P, But seriously, while this anime is fantastic, it DESERVES a localization like a sickness, now, while its still up in the air as to who will get the rights (really strong hint its gonna be FUNi, I mean come on), For a lot of people to walk into this knowing its related to TM! I think will get rid of a bit of the sour taste alot of people got from OVA3. Something also to note is this is the last of Kajishima's 3 anime contract of Tenchi with AIC, which means, another series could seriously depend on the success of SKT, But as well as the anime has done in both official releases and the fansub community, I have no doubt it will be hailed among fans as a complete success. (I would also like to note that I love the fact that while an English translation of the name has been known, because of Myself and Akawoa, the series has been pretty much coined "Saint Knight's Tale", through me being the first to post the name on Youtube, which people now use to search for it and him creating the wiki article using the name ^_^ )


Needless
Everybody loves Gurren Lagann, Everybody loves over the top fights, and everybody loves ecchi (well not everybody but you get the point), put it all together, and you'd be stupid not to localize Needless. Like SKT, I think it would be a success just like Gurren Lagann was, and to hear half the things these characters say in english would just be downright hysterical, I'd probably laugh so hard I cried, I'm thinking it will get picked up by Bandai (As they've picked up a lot of Madhouse's licenses), but then again, with FUNImation willing to pick up Strike Witches (The fact its getting localized just astounds me to no end, and FUNi of all people), I would almost think the dub would be safer with them (I know, I know thats against my character, but what can I do? lol), all in all, people would pick up on blade and eve almost as fast as they picked up Kamina and Yoko.


Hope for:

Outlaw Star: The Movie
Outlaw Star, just the name brings people to say the anime is one of the greatest anime ever made (so much so that it moved 10 million units in 2009 in the US, Now thats Legendary). As much as the series did end very well, it was left very open to continue, some would argue that "Its good the way it was" or "Only additions would hurt it", well people said the same thing about Trigun, and here we are almost 2 months from the debut of the first movie, almost a decade later. The happiness I would feel hearing about another addition to Outlaw Star, would probably only be rivaled by a new Tenchi series or a reboot (Manly tears of course ), Everybody loves the crew of the Outlaw Star, and to see the Universe brought into this decade of animation would be much more a treat then a curse,, while I don't think Xebec or Sunrise intend to do anything else with the series (Sunrise is working on the Bebop live movie after all), I would love to see it happen


Reboot of Tenchi Muyo/OVA4/OVA Movie
I'm on the Tenchiboard so I probably don't have to show how much I love this show, but there needs to be new Tenchi! OVA3 left you wanting so much (Whether you were neutral or hated it, you wanted more and better and you know it), and I think a couple of things could happen with the main cast that could really kick this bad taste of new Tenchi to the curb. After seeing the Reboot of Evangelion movies (well the previews anyway), I thought to myself, "Why not Tenchi?" I mean hell, Tenchi could have easily rivaled Evangelion's popularity in 2000, and just like Evangelion anything related to Tenchi sells like Donuts, and what better way to get Tenchi then to reboot the series?. As it would span the the whole 20 episodes of OVA1, I'm sure things would get taken out, and added IE (Sasa-mi and NOike wouldn't cook for half an hour, and the plot would actually reveal itself in a good way towards the end), I mean whats the harm? Obviously the parts for OVA's 1 and 2 would be very touchy, but if done correctly, could possibly out do the originals, New art so the entire series flows visually, the story is rewritten so theres no lag time in between OVA2 and OVA3, Package it with good English VA's, sounds like a winner to me, that or another series or movie, and you can call me a happy Tenchi Muyo fan again ^_^

I really want to see this movie ASAP:

One Piece Movie 10 is actually cannon to the manga and is about Golden Lion "Shiki" the pirate who went face to face with Gold Roger. As of this post it still hasn't been subbed since it's still out in theaters (In Japan only...)

Okay, I thought about it and I can think of an anime I want to see localized that came out in summer of 2009... Spice and Wolf season II! Whenever this pops up for pre-order availability I'm going to be snagging a copy of it ^_-, along with Needless and Saint Knights Tale =3!
