(Note: If anyone can tell me where the subject title comes from, I will glomp you most vigorously) Alright, so good old Comix here is a little tired of the lack of good old conversation. I miss board mate talking about life, the universe, 42...so I'mma gonna fix it. Think of it as a fill out of sorts. You can be vague, you can be detailed...people can look and start a discussion...it's all good. If you wanna post, do it. If you wanna lurk, do it. If you want to comment, do it. So, in the spirit of giving, I'll go first and start with some basics. A DAY IN THE LIFE: I have a bout a month of college left before I'm headed back to the good old home state. Haven't been back since Christmas. I'm excited but a little nervous about that. Working at a double major of Art and English. Work's been okay, and I actually have a commission this weekend to draw caricatures at a post prom party. I'm excited about it, but dumbfounded about how the hell I'm going to get supplies without a car. (DAMN IT). Been getting into a lot of Table Top RPGs. I have a 3.5 Dungeons and Dragons game that I'm in on Thursdays (Exhaulted Heroes specifically; I play a Bard), and I play Dark Heresy (Warhammer 40k) on Saturdays as a Psyker. The Vampire of the Masquerade game I was in ended last Sunday, and my Toreador was one of two that did not die. Yay! This weekend is Gencon at my college, and I played in a My Little Pony RPG as 'Lord Pennyfeather the Unicorn'. He had the power of pompous. Half the party got absorbed into a big muddy blob. CURRENT OBSESSION: Currently playing through Neverwinter Nights 2's expansion Mask of the Betrayer. I could talk all day about this. I really could. Also started reading Howl's Moving Castle. <3 CURRENT DISCOVERY: A rediscovery. DOCTOR HORRIBLE'S MUSICAL COMMENTARY ROCKS MY STRIPPED, THIGH HIGH SOCKS! CURRENT DRAMA: Trying to make a peace treaty with Ex. Failing horribly. |

I don't know but I'm gonna guess that title comes from some sort of metal song. As for my life? Ups and downs of junior year. One day I'm happy, the next borderline suicidal. Little off my rocker, but that's what's fun - never the same. |

Yep. Speaking of the end... "And in the End, The Love You Take is Equal to the Love You Make" -Paul McCartney, The End |

I make it a habit to watch Dr. Horrible or The Guild in some manner ever week, and spelling habit instead of habbit (too much LOTR) is actually difficult now. Comix, ever try Baldur's Gate II? That was my first dive into a D&D universe, got me hooked on the paper and dice games as well as electronic. Amazing game by the way, immersive. Always play a dwarf, LOVE DWARVES. Annnnnndddd... Sucks about your ex, those things never go well. My gf told me last night she misses her first love, who happens to be my neighbor (who moved out but she saw him outside a little bit ago). RELATIONSHIP DRAMA NEEDS TO DIE. bkev, with ya on that one, though suicidal tendencies aren't supposed to occur, people who live a real life tend to feel that way. So I watch Tenchi, especially STM when Tenchi and Ryoko have their date... ^_^ To be honest, almost did tonight, end it that is. Then someone called and it didn't happen. Why does life suck so hard for some people right now? Lighter note! Long Island Ice Tea only tastes like iced tea after one has had a few. Just a heads up. |

Musically repressed? Or some mystical link between melody and the arcane? |

When I was in high school, all I could think about was landing the right chick and getting married ASAP. Maybe not so soon, but definitely be in the relationship for the long haul. Now... Well, now I just want to spend as much time that remains with my gf before she leaves for a different college, and after that, most likely I'll be flirting around as much as humanly possible. Sad thing is, a few friends are going through nearly exactly the same thing, and we all have the same feelings on the matter. So I think it's just a guy thing in their early 20's or so. |
