I don't really notice an initial attractiveness until I get to know a guy, which I guess is an advantage to him. And if I DO notice, I'm usually WAY to intimidated to talk to him. I'm strange. The more I like someone, the more I tend to avoid them.

Couldn't help but laugh at the "immediate bail" part. Happens to me too. It's 50/50 with them wanting to get married too, so both scenarios kinda suck.

Psychologist (who lives directly across the street from the girl I've liked since 6th grade, which is over 10 years, and am currently semi-dating) thinks I may not need it after all, maybe something else.

BUT... I don't really get the hero complex, though I tend to date girls that spill the beans on their personality issues relatively early in the dating process. I don't ditch them, instead, stick with it until they usually left me for some !@#$%^& with the hero complex.
