There's a certain awareness in the mind that is difficult to describe. Everyone has it, to some degree or another. To some, it's that strange pall you receive when someone is coming up from behind you. Others have an uncanny knack for predicting the immediate future--whether it's based on an actual glimpse gleaned through ESP, an anticipation of likely events thanks to a sense of deja vu, or simple gut instinct leading to a correct hunch. Another group of folks have the ability to jump to conclusions and manage to nail the landing. The different manifestations of this one awareness are not separate abilities, but each aspects of a greater whole. It is akin to a dog's ability to hear sounds at a much higher pitch than a human could, or the ability of other species to see in an ultraviolet or infrared spectrum of light.

A ninja trains to hone this "sixth sense" based solely in the mind. When events line up in a certain fashion, a trigger is set off that cannot be entirely described in words. At the base level, a combination of a compulsion and curiosity is awakened. To pursue the course of events that has been introduced, investigate the cause of this awakening, and perhaps play a part in said events as they unravel.

Such a trigger was tripped in my mind tonight. Browsing aimlessly as I am wont to do in the wee hours of the morning, a sudden urge was visited upon me--return to Tenchiboard after an extensive leave of absence and lack of communication with many of its denizens. Upon my arrival, imagine my surprise at the multiple recent returns of others who had left!

Very often, coincidence is not coincidence at all. This is, in fact, a sign of something much more interesting to come. Therefore, friends old and new, take heed. The Second Coming of Ninjesus is at hand.
