They're region 1 only unfortuneately. But an xbox can play it. They're pricey now because the particular set is out of print. I won mine in an ebay auction a couple months ago for $114. They were watched only once though. Used on amazon starts at 183.89 and new will set you back anywhere from 483.59 to a whopping $1765. It's a great collection but not worth almost five hundred new. If you want to have it you should go for a barely used one and try to win it in an auction if you can. It is cool to know that you own an out of print collection though. If you don't mind if it's authentic then they sell bootlegs on ebay for much cheaper. I can speak for the quality but I'm going to assume it isn't a noticeable difference

MMM grape soda, and Yes Akawoa thats the set i have, got it for 100$ oretty much brand new (it had a few rough edges, but discs were unplayed) That was another reason I wanted the Ultimate too was for the epic cover, there are 2 bootleg versions that i know of, lol not advocating just saying, lol

It does indeed have an epic cover! I had to have it when I saw Ryoko on the front =D. What did you think of the Tenchi encyclopedia disc? It was kind of cool to me but I would have preferred interviews or something with the cast I think. I wanted more epic special features, it's a great set though!

It is a great set, and supposidly there were 3 versions of the Tenchi Enyclopedia? because on alot of the Collections in previews for the set (like Tenchi In Tokyo) they advertise "with Tenchi Encylopedia v.2) so not sure what the 3 means but i have version 3, as far as the actual content its pretty cool, not anything you can't get off the internet lol but i would have preferred say, the tenchi cast interview from the VHS tapes or more cool stuff like that

THe best Encyclopedia I saw was the one on the original Manatsu no Eve DVD. I got the re-release just for it, and... it didn't have it. =/

Aw that sucks man, i kinda wish they would have put more to it, if you have all the movie, you have all the promos which is like half the disc, lol could have put in like rare insight or original concept drawings, that would have been cool
