Name: V for Vendetta Media: Movie Rating: 8 Met Explosion Quota?: Yes Plot: In the near future, govornments have collapsed. The English goverment has been taken over by a hitler-esque party. The people are repressed and freedoms of expression are illegal. They are even responsible for biological weapons testing on the public. The hero named "V" is determined to stop this and get vengance on the people who enginnered it. His plan is to blow up the Houses of Parliment as a symbol of revolution. That was the plan of a infamous English revolutionary who failed to blow up Parliment named "Guy Fawkes". The mask, hat, and hair V wears are ones which are supposted to be of Guy. England does actually celebreate the night that Guy failed to blow up Parliment in real life. Review: Saw V for Vendetta this week. Its an adaptation of the comic book. It was great and close to the orgional comic book. Its done by the guys who did the Matrix Trilogy. Anyway it was really good. Most movies like this are usually done pretty crappily but this one is one of the exceptions. Very fascinating characters, Natalie Portman's hot, meets the explosion quota, cool good guys, cool bad guys. This movie's got it all. I highly recommend this movie. |

Seriously though A MUST SEE. If anything then it helps one realize that anything can be questioned. The movie is quite deep and my friends and I still enjoy interpreting the possible insinuations the Wachowski ... siblings... transferred to the screen. |

I really loved this film. I watched it with a group of friends. Highly enjoyable. A great story of how the people should not fear the government, but the government its people. So says V. Who happens to be bad ass. |
