Name: Brokeback Mountain Media: Movie Rating: 4 Met Explosion Quotoa?: No Plot: This movie takes place during the 1960's. Two cowboys take a job up on Brokeback Mountain to take some sheep up there so they can graze for the summer. On one cold night, one lets the other share his tent and they share body heat. Both are gay but nobody talks about things like that. In the tent that night they discover that each other's feelings. When the job's over, they go their seperate ways, get married later on continue to see each other on "Fishing Trips" where the just sit around and talk. I assume there's some hanky panky going on but they don't show that. Review: Well went to see Brokeback because my girlfriend wanted to see it. That and it was only 4 bucks. Also wanted to see what all the fuss was about. Girls I've talked to about it seemed to enjoy it more than the guys because of the manly cowboys in love appeals to them but they all do agree that the story is somewhat unorigional. The movie itself was pretty uneventful. It felt like it was written to try to win a oscar. The dialogue was very difficult to understand. There was no sexual content on screen really mostly implied but you know what's going on. The real story is how a secret love, in this case a homosexual one, can unravel people's lives. If you're going to watch the movie though don't watch the link below. Because it will spoil the movie for you. I knew it! I saw a joke of it on Mind of Mencia. They were acting the exact same way, but then he puts this bandana over his eyes and their hiting a pianata. I won't tell the name of the movie that he called it. Too offending. It sounds like a good movie and a twist, but I'm just not a big drama fan. |
