An adaptation from a graphic novel written and based in the 80's about mostly normal people wearing masks and fighting crime. It begins with the murder of one of their own that launched an investigation that changed the lives of millions during the seemingly inevitable war with the Russians.

My Review: This movie must be seen at all costs. The graphics are truly amazing, I haven't seen anything like that since the director's (Zack Snyder) last movie. Excellent use of cinematography and computer graphics with some of the best timing I've ever seen in film.

The sound was also very impressive. I notice in most movies that the sound is always off, especially in action sequences, and it drives me bonkers. They didn't reuse many sound effects either, must've had an awesome foley artist. Soundtrack was also well chosen with original scores that set the mood as perfectly as possible.

Overall, Snyder outdoes himself again. Like 300, he stays true to the graphic novel he transposes to a different medium, which is incredibly difficult for those who haven't tried. Everything was spot on, the actors were well chosen, even the extras didn't seem out of place like they do in most movies.

Stop reading this and see that movie!

Meh movie made worse by hype. I think I only enjoyed the comic because everyone else liked it, even.

But seriously - too much slow motion, a not-so-good new ending, and I despise that Zack Snyder's billing himself as "visionary".

I was waiting for this movie for years, and then FOX tried to pull their little stunt which almost ended in a nerdly epic nuclear war.

Aside from that it was over hyped. But I thought the new ending made more sense than the random alien/HP Lovecraft attack ending.

Zack Snyder is pretty pompous but he does deliver!
