I kinda had wanted more to start up a discussion rather then write a review, but i'll ask those questions to those who know afterwords,

I recently discovered the cyberpunk epic that is Armitage the 3rd, again(kinda), lol, i had remembered an image of Armitage from an Animerica years ago, and while trolling through wikipedia at (yes blade runner) stumbled upon the image of Armitage and instantly recognized her

Me being in the "Have to watch the OVA first" mindset (which i thank myself for later) decide to start this 4 episode OVA (before this the shortest OVA i'd seen was FLCL) thing, without any real conception of what to think (as i decided against reading reviews first and making up my own mind as it happened). I'm a fan of cyberpunk, i havent scene a whole lot, but being the HUGE anything science fiction, gritty, 80's style lover i am, this was right up my alley

enough with backstory onto review

I'm gonna say right now its an instant fave of mine and i give it a 5/5 stars, The Dub was really good (which will bring me to one of my questions at the end), the story was superb, its nothing new but its very much its own, its like blade runner just in reverse (kinda), the characters have depth, and personally i was sold the minute i heard the music and she put on the shades in the intro, fucking coolest shades ever, lol er hrmm....back on topic

i'm not gonna go in depth on the story, but i would recommend it to anybody, from sci-fi buffs to (of course being on this board, lol) anime fans, its a great piece of work, its kind of a shame its so short, but then again, it doesnt span multiple unverses and its plot is clear

I havent yet ventured to get Poly Matrix or Dual Matrix, (I read Poly=Matrix was basically the OVA, cut and edited into a movie, which is lame, and i found the trailer for it on Youtube and wasnt particularly impressed with the new dubs for Ross and Armitage) i think i'm gonna stay away from it for now, i will get Dual Matrix because the VA for Ross from the OVA comes back, and i liked him alot, plus it was written by Hasegawa-Sensei, thats right

Now my questions

1. B.G. Mills (The girl who voiced Armitage) what the hell happened to her? is that just an acting name or what? i ask this because, according to IMdb she only has EVER had 2 voice acting roles, her only acting roles EVER, Pictures of her i cant find anywhere, Wikipedia has no article on her, its like she disappeared off the face of the planet after that role which is really weird (what adds to the weirdness is like i stated above, They got the same guy back to play Ross from the OVA in Dual Matrix, why Not B.G.Mills?), and shes not a bad actor either, shes really good, and gets into her performance (especially at the end of the 1st episode), i was really captivated by her performance, i found it really hard to believe that, that was one of only 2 acting roles she ever did

2. Poly-Matrix, Now i may not be a super-jap Otaku, but this is the first instance i've seen of a Movie, adapted from an OVA, and re-dubbed only for English with big names as a single movie, even though Armitage is cool, its more of a cult classic anime (and by cult classic i mean its even harder to find fans of that then Tenchi even, lol) and i would have expected bigger titles then this to be adapted like that (ironically enough the guy who plays D'anclaude voiced him in both the OVA version and Poly Matrix, wtf again, why ask him back?)
