(OOC: AGH! The first time this new look is a shock to the eye! I did not Dream that the Yellow and Green on Black would be such a harsh contrast.... Still cool though. He smiled more.<br>"I can tell you that "The Curator is in another Castle."..."<br>And as his speech began to run more freely, his body visiably tensed, and crouched, only to launch high into the air and towards them. In the air his fired his finger blades at Ayama. At the same time a ball of Lightning formed in his other hand, and landing, he launched it at Linden.<br>"Now Show me what you are Made of! Show me why My Eyes look at you in fear!"<br>Then he withdrew the finger blades using the long wires that connected thme to his hand, not caring whether or not any had hit anything other than wood or concrete, and seemingly disappeared. Before he did so, if any of them had got a good look at his eyes behind his mask, would of noticed how widely open they were now, and how maddened in fury they looked. If they had fear in them, the casual observer could not spot it.<br><br>*** For the moment, just post your reactions to his first attack, and comment on things you noticed about them (e.g, he didn't need to chant, isn't that strange?) then stand preparing yourselves for when he reappears again to attack again. When I get to starting this fight proper, I'ld like it to go on with you making attacking, and me writing attacks, till I see it fit to end. No finisher moves, unless they miss... As the Lightning ball heading toward Linden he dived sideways away from the ball as well as Ayama and the finger blades.<br><br>The Lightning ball smacked into the ground where Linden had been seconds before. For a moment its sparked sending dancing lines of blue light across the floor, before disappearing.<br><br>In the time it took the ball to hit the floor Linden had stood and started to look around for a sign of the mysterious Machine Mage. As he looked thoughts flooded through Linden's mind. If this mage could cast without chanting he must be high level, certainly much higher than the one in the museum. Linden felt a little worried. This Machine Mage obviously knew a fair amount, and was making horribly accurate guesses. How did he know all this? Luckily guessing Lindens secret should be almost imposable. She leapt to the side at the last moment, more jerkily than usual for her since she was a little off-guard. One blade had looked like it made contact with her right arm, but it didn't catch and just left a small trickle of blood.<br><br>Confused, she set a hand on the hilt of her katana and braced again. She wasn't liking the setup now. He'd attacked without a word of a spell uttered, which certianly made it a lot more complicated. I'll try to get my character back into the plot if I can.*<br><br>Ali just stood there, swords lowered as the technomancers closed in on him, guns drawn.<br>"Drop your weapons and kneel down Knight.", Adrian said.<br>Ali lowered his swords and bent down as if in submission.<br>Tensing himself, Ali leaped upwards and jumped off the sides of shelfs as the technomancers fired towards his fleeting figure.<br>"Shoot him quickly! Don't let him run!", shouted Murdock as the others quickly shot the shelves where they lasy saw the knight.<br>"There! Along the top of the shelves!", Smitty pointed towards a dark form almost gliding across the aisle of shelves.<br>Smitty and Adrian took up pusuit, firing as they went. Murdock picked up his crossbow, reloaded, and took off as well.<br>The shooting then ceased as soon as it began. <br>"Were did he go?"<br>"I think he went that way."<br>"Hey Murdock! Get over her, quick!"<br>Murdock ran over to Adrian and Smitty and all three scanned the warehouse for possible movement.<br>"I don't get it, he was right up top and then he just vanished!"<br>"Maybe he took to the windows and..."<br><br>A sound from above brought the technomancers weapons up as a cloaked form fell towards them which they promptly shot to pieces.<br><br>*OCC Sorry f this sounds bad, but I'm pressed for time. "Try looking down boy..."<br>Two hands gripped round Linden's ancles (spelling?) and then rose further out of the ground, bringing with them the rest of Machine Mage. Machien Mage quickly swung round, and threw Linden towards some crates in the corner of the warehouse.<br>"You're making this too easy..."<br>Then he turned to Ayama, and started to slowly walk towards her.<br>***OOC, by the way, you are without your katana for the moment, unless it wasn't made of a magnetic substance.***<br>"Now now miss, I hope you don't think I'm ignoring you. You interest me too."<br>He then continued his slow walk towards Ayama.<br><br>(Right, enough cut-scene! Time to battle. Machine Mage is very powerful, and his main attacks are lightning magic, a few gun attacks, and also a few darker powers of unknown origin, like the through the floor attack here. He will disappear like that quite a lot. Also, note, sounds of his voice, and movement will be coming from all directions. You'll find out how eventually, though it might even be in this battle. You might be able to get your weapons back, if you can find a way of pretty much Blowing Up the Magic Magnet thingie. Linden hit the crates with some force and slid to floor. He slowly stood up and swiveled to face Machine Mage seeing him heading towards Ayama. Linden darted forward formulating a plan as he moved. His first priority had to be getting hold of his Katana and the only way he could hope to get it back was to stop the strange machine that had sucked it away. ((Good to be back... *huggles compy*))<br><br>Amaya made a sound almost like a growl and braced herself with a small step backwards. She felt vunerable without a weapon. She decided to stay as she was and prepare to defend against an attack, it made more sense. As Linden ran towards Machine Mage and Amaya he glanced towards the panel hoping to gain an insight into disabling the strange magnet. The Panel crackled with power, a few sparks of purple lightning leaping from its surface. Obviously when Machine Mage had touched it he had infuses it with some of his power, touching it would definitely not be a good plan. All this had only taken less than a second and Linden now neared Machine Mage. *OCC I'm finishing this and seeing if I can move on. I'm not sure if this fight is happening at the same time as the one with Machine Mage, so I'll wait for further details after this.*<br><br>"Hey, isn't there supossed to be blood?"<br>The technomancers uncovered the cloaked form which was a rectangular shaped box covered in a piece of cloth.<br>"Then where did he... oh shi....<br>Before the technomancer could finish he felt soemthing punch the back of his head and fell to the floor in a crumpled heap.<br>"Shoot him!"<br>Turning wildly, the other two technomancers spun around to shoot the fleeting figure as it disappeared back into the shadows. Firing at the shadow where the knight had dissapeared, the technomancers fired for a few seconds before stopping.<br>"Think we got him?"<br>"I don't know, hear any thuds or grunts?"<br>"No, but maybe, wait! Over their...!"<br>Walking cooly out behind a stack of nearby crates, the knight had both swords drawn that glowed a pale green and advanced upon the technomancers. Rasing their guns to fire, the technomancers hardly got a chance to pull their triggers when Ali suddenly somersaulted over them and landed and brought his swords down in two swooping arcs, slicing off the barrels off the techomancers guns as if they were cheap wood. Without breaking a stride, Ali leaped up and kicked both his legs outwards like two pistons. Like felled trees the technomnacers were flattened to the floor out cold even as Ali sheathed his swords before dropping to the ground. Checking to see the techomancers were all unconcious, Ali climbed up one the warehouse's walls and went out the window he came in earlier and snuck off into the night.<br><br>Settling down onto a tall workhouse building, Ali came out of his semi-concious state and checked his wounds. His leg seemed alright, thanks to his training in elemental resistence and meditation. <br>"A little healing potion should cure this." Ali said to himself. Tighning the cloth bandage on his leg, Ali stood up an began to make his way across the rooftops without a sound but with a slowness ue to his leg. Quietly settling down onto a slanted roof, Ali made a quick look of his surroundings. Glancing downwards to the entrence of a particular building, Ali saw a carriage and a man that he recognized as the coachman of that evil assasin Teatime. Without daring to breathe, Ali carefully edged his way up the roof and slithered over to the other side out of view. <br>Peeking over just enough to look, Ali saw a few other men waiting around the carriage and a few lights in the building next to it. Considering he wanted to know if this might be Teatime's stronghold or stop-off, Ali decided to wait and see if the assasin and that strange women that was with him might show up outside the building or possibly in the lighted rooms.<br>Settling down, Ali covered himself with his cloak and tensed himself to watch as the night continued to wane on.<br><br><br> <p></p><i>Edited by: <A HREF=http://pub19.ezboard.com/btenchimuyo79943.showUserPublicProfile?gid=fwingbonali>Fwingbon Ali</A> at: 12/24/03 1:03 am<br></i> |
