09/12/2014: My previous attempt at renaming the directory to foil the spambots did not work. I'm trying now to change the login information for the SQL database. There may be a little bit of downtime but it shouldn't take long.
09/11/2014: I've been having problems with spambots preventing legit users from being able to sign up correctly. I've tried changing the directory from bbs to forums. Hopefully that will stop them and I can remove the retrictions stopping real users from signing up. Sorry if some of your bookmarks have become broken. They can be fixed by replacing bbs with forums in the properties.

... My profile?... WAH! I forgot to even think about a character for Myself... I think I'll just be the NPCs for now, but I may make a character to join the party eventually.
I've decided the the Hollywood/Las Vegas place will be renamed the Kingdom Of Laughter(that's where you are from Mihoshisman). The Princess is the princess of the Kingdom of Joy and Courage. But these will be next to each other.
In fact, time to plan the positions better, remember, ring around sea.
Joy & Courage, Laughter Gold Night and Sorrow The Marshes The Great Desert J&C again
I didn't miss any out, did I?
Anyway, the Kingdoms tend to get along fine, though Gold has been known to make occasional war, to try and prove itself better. However, Joy and Courage tends to protect all the kingdoms. The Great Desert is a mixed bag, as some of Joy & Courage's great knights were born in it. But it also has some of the greatest trouble makers. Nothing good tends to come from the Marshes. There has been peace with the Orcs who mostly live there on and off in the past thousand years. Night and Sorrow is also home to many oracles, some amazingly accurate, some completely false (usually they moved from the Marshes) con-artists. The King of J&C is a great Adventurer, like his forefather before him, and famed throughout the Dreamland. Another thing should be noted. The Marshes are not small, but quite vast. However the part of it inhabited by living creatures has been shrinking in the couple of centuries. There was always a part of it that was filled with a foul poison, but it was a single cave. It has slowly begun to spread from the cave though. The King of J&C investigated this, but could not search far into the tainted land, the poison was too strong. He has also been trying to build a ship that can finally make the trip accross the Great Sea, to confirm the Legends of a land beyound it.

Sjana is simply an inhabitant of the world inside the Princess's dreams. She doesn't have any inherently special qualities outside of the fact that she is a sorceress of a human (or at least humanoid) race and won't be incarnated a second time unless something in the future happens to bring it about. It's possible she could symbolize part of the Princess's desire to live outside the rules of her position/society but we'll have to see.
I'm not sure what region she'll originally have been from, or if her parents were people of any importance, but I'm pretty sure they won't be natives of the Desert region (or the Marshes). After that we'll see.

(hhhmm, for not, I don't wish for Single characters to fully enbody one of the Goddess' aspects, but rather the Lust, etc is spread out in the enbodiment, over many people within the World, or something to that effect. Anyway, here we go!)
Welcome to the Kingdom of Joy and Courage, where all the peoples are happy. Right now, things are more joyous than usual. The whole Kingdom is having a a great big festival, and every street, field and building is full of cheer, dancing and laughter. Many are in fancy dress of various types, and those who are not are celebrating harder to make up for their lack of costume. The Festival is loudest in the Capital, and the Hight Street is so packed with people, it is a wonder they can dance as wildly as they are. The excited public leads all the way to the Palace Court Yard, that is open to the public on this grand day, AND host to a party to which important people from the Whole Land were invited. The rulers of the Kingdom of Night and Sorrow, Laughter, Gold, and even representatives from both the human and Orc tribes of the Marshes, and nomads from the Great Desert are gathered here on this Special day of Special days. What is this Special Day? Why is it the Fifthteen Birthday of the Land's Princess, who is the first ever Goddess Princess too. It is the day that she comes of age, and tomorrow she will set out on her quest. But for now, everyone parties. Right now, the King and Queen of this Kingdom are greeting their guests. "Ah, Faust, Victora! Glad you could make it! Help yourself to the wine, it is the best there is! Imported from The Kingdom of Laughter!" The speaker is a man in a king's armour, and is tall and strong. Beside him stands the fairest maiden one could ever set eyes on. He is addressing a pale skined couple, dressed in black, and lots of make up. When the man replied, he was part groan, as though every word that passed his lips was as painful as saying the same words with a broken jaw. "Yes, thank thou, Dominic. It is, indeed, amazing stuff, like usual. My Lady Charity, you must be so proud of your daughter." "Heh heh, yes, of course... <aside> I would be more so, if she had actually done anything to be proud of yet, why do people keep saying that to me? It's just a birthday... >ahem< Victora, how is your daughter, Monica wasn't it, growing up?" "Each day the sun rises is but another trail in the way of life and suffering. And Thank you for the delisious wine. It will help to remind me of how great my sorrow is back home." "Heh, yeah, of course... Oh! Anna! Elvis! How goes things in your Kingdom? Thank you so much for bringing this great wine with you!" The Fair maiden had swapped focus from the somewhat creepy Victora, to a Plump man with a most unusal wig, and a young women who had a body Goddesses may have killed for, yet wore more make up than the previous focuses of attention put together. "Ho ho ho! My Dear Charity, it is a Pleasure as Always to help your kingdom to Get Down and Boogie!!!" ">girlish giggle< Oh Elvis, you slay them! Say, Char-Chan! Have you seen my performance in my Latest Production yet?" "Hmm? Oh Gee, ummm sorry, no. But I will get round to it..." "Maybe we could do a performance here!" "Oh do spare us the Agony of that. I think it would be too much suffering for even our visitors from the Kingdom of Night and Sorrow." A Man in gold armour with an arrogent air around him pushed his way to the King and Queen of the Kingdom. Dominic looked him in the eye, and nodded an acknowledgement of his presence to him. "Siegfried." "Dominic. Charity. You may think this is the most impressive party ever held in the land, but I've held more impressive Lunch dates." "I'm sure you have." "Oh you think just because the Goddess Princess is Your Daughter, that you're all High and Mighty? Bah, I doubt your daughter is any less a toera-AHH!" A lady whom was dressed as expensively as Siegfried, had homed in on them, and stamped on Siegfried's foot. Trying not to laugh, Charity greeted her. "Ah, Beth, I was wondering where you were, we can't keep your Husband under control without you..." "He he he, Siegfried is just kidding, <aside> Siegfried, how many times have I told you not to insult the hosts? I swear, that attitude of your's will get us all in trouble one day, I'm sure she's blossemed much since we last saw her... OUCH! Who pinched my arse!?" Siegfried drew his sword, as a cloaked man of small stature, who was shadowed by a hulking orc. Dominic stepped forward to take the man by the hand, giving Siegfried a warning glance. "Fingers, Toad, glad you could make it! But please keep those hands where we can see them from now on... Tell me, did Amir make it too?" "Wasn't me, wasn't me... well yeah it was, but it was just a joke, Gov'ner. And yeah, 'it' is around here somewhere... Not sure where though. Hey, tell me, will I be sitting next to Siggy for thr Dinner today? It's always fun, that..." "Goddess, I hope not, that could possibly be worse than Anna's acting." "Yes, you will be, Fingers." "Oh you son of a-AHHHHHH!" Charity and Dominic had a little giggle inside their heads at the way Fingers continued to wind "Siggy" up, and at Beth's tried and tested method of winding him down. There was a polite cough behind them, and they turned to find another cloaked figure. "King Dominic and Queen Charity of the Kingdom of Joy and Courage?" "Umm, yes, that's us..." "Greetings, I am a Representative from the Great Desert, come to wish the Goddess Princess 'A Happy Birthday' on this day of days.... Er... Where is she?" "... Domonic?" "...Charity?" Both monarches of the Kingdom turned to each other, and asked simultaniously. "Where is our Daughter?"
(Right, umm Isis? You may want to be that last cloaked figure, or not, I'll let you choose. Meanwhile I'm assuming the Princess is the type to be missing at her own Birthday Party. Actually, who is playing the Princess again? And also, for that matter, what's going to be her name? Erk... Well until everyone realises I've started, you can mill around the party for a while. Enjoy.)

*A figure in a bright pink hooded cloak dashes from table to table...reaching out with dainty hands and filling a plate with the finest meats and sweets available. With rapid movements, the figure skips through the various lines of people...drawing more attention than she may want. As the hand reaches out of the cloak once more to grab a large slice of cake, it is slapped away and the cloak is violently ripped away.*
Juliana: Owww *nursing hand*...what did you do that for?
Juliana's manager: We can't have you gaining fifty pounds before your performance...now can we? After all, what would the other pop idols from Laughter think of you...what would your fans think of you?
Juliana: But...just one slice of pie or piece of cake won't hurt...
Manager: It will if I keep slapping your hand.
*The little spat between the singing star and her manager starts to gather a tiny croud as people begin to recognize Juliana from her stage performances.*
Juliana: Now look what you've done...you've blown my cover and the paparazzi are having a field day.
*10-20 "paparazzi" have surrounded the princess...painting the scene on canvases in hopes of striking it rich by catching the pop star at her worst.*
Manager: I'm sorry...just stop eating anything that's not green...and remember that you're performing for the princess later on tonight.
Juliana: How could I forget? She is my favorite princess and my number one fan!
*Brushing back her long hair and smiling for the paparazzi, Juliana slips away from her manager...all the while looking for something green to wrap around a piece of pie.

OOC: I've altered Shana's age a little to make it mesh better with the story. She is now 16. It doesn't seem like much but it may be significant later on.
Shana walked through the city, marveling at all the diverse peoples and things in it. She had had no idea that there were so many humans in the world. Of course the dragons had told her stories about them, and had made her learn some of their languages, but she had had no real concept of humanity until she had seen the caravan hauling supplies through the areas near the mountains of the giant desert island she lived in. Shana, eager to know more about her birth people, had joined the caravan. At first they had been very surprised to see a teenage girl dressed in sparkling greenish-turquiose colored tunic, trousers, and boots suddenly appear alongside them, but after Shana proved her willingness to work with the other people and after they had shown her how to use a bow, they had accepted her. At the port, Shana had stowed away on a ship along with the cargo, eager to see more of the world. The ship had led to this city, where apparently a huge celebration was taking place. Shana had no idea what could be considered significant enough for a celebration of this magnitude to take place, but since a lot of people seemed to be traveling here for it, Shana's presence seemed largely unnoticed. She was glad for that, since her clothes fashioned from shed dragonskin and facial features seemed subtly different from any of the other people she'd seen so far. Grabbing a meat dumpling from one of the stands where people were yelling about good food, she walked further into the city, the quiet step she'd picked up from a life spent among predators serving her well.
Soon she saw a silly-looking girl dressed in pink being shadowed by an older man. She was whining about something or other and a lot of people were paying attention to her. She seemed to be important but the name "Juliana" meant nothing to her. Nor could she see why so many people thought the silly, ineffectual girl was so important. Swallowing the last of her meat bun and making sure she still had the bow the caravan people had given to her, she made ready to grab another piece of food, this one a tasty-looking fruit. Fruits were hard to find in the desert and Shana loved them more than anything else she had eaten so far, even the breads and cheeses the caravan people had given to her for meals.
She picked up the piece of fruit, which had a hard encrusting surrounding it that seemed kind of grainy in texture. Some of it brushed off in her hand while she held it. She was about to try a bite when the pink-clothed girl grabbed it from her. "That's mine! I saw it first!" she yelled at Shana. "Go find your own!"
The older man came up behind Juliana and grabbed the fruit from the pink girl. "Lady Juliana! It is not becoming of a girl of your station to steal food from a commoner! It would cause a huge scandal! And anyway, I told you no more candy!"
"No, you said I couldn't have anything that wasn't green, and that is green!" Juliana cried. "Let me have it, I saw it first! That girl can have any other she wants, these are all free anyway!"
"Lady Juliana, I can't believe how selfish you're acting! And you a woman of eighteen too! Here, give that girl back her candy." The older man made as if to give the fruit back to Juliana but when he looked at his hand, it was already gone. Both the man and Juliana whirled around to find Shana already holding it in her mouth. It tasted a bit like some of the fruit she had eaten before, but it also had a too-sweet tang to it that she found faintly unpleasant.
"She may have seen it first, but I had it first," Shana said reasonably around the too-sweet fruit. "I don't think I want any more though. You can have the rest." How glad she was now that she had learned the dragons' lessons!
The older man looked blank for a moment, not sure what to make of the situation. "Well," he said, looking as if he wanted to say something but was too polite to say it, "apologize to this girl for trying to take her candy, Juliana."
(Mihoshisman, I'll let you take it from here.)

*Juliana looks with disdain at Shana as the girl waves the partly eaten candy apple in her face. Who was this girl that had never heard of "Juliana"...her songs were sung everywhere...or so she thought. And what was up with the strange clothes? Juliana was used to the guagy outfits of the Kingdom of Gold, the stately dress of the Kingdom of Joy and Courage, and the flashy clothes worn by the natives of the Kingdom of laughter...speaking of which her corset was really starting to cause strain on her mostly empty belly.*
*Juliana winced at the pain her corset caused her as she tried to think of a way to salvage her reputation...after all there were actually people who didn't know who she was. Waiting until enough people were around to be considered a crowd, she put her plan into action.*
Juliana: Ladies and gentlemen...this girl holding out the first bite of food she has had in months is truely in the spirit of the festival. She has come from afar just to experience our lifestyle...a lifestyle far from the poor surroundings and...uh...knotted hair that she is obviously used to. I plan to accompany this girl as she explores the city and I am offering her the chance to have onstage seating at tonight's concert event.
The residents of the Kingdom of Gold cooed at the courage Juliana had being so kind to one so poor as those from the Kingdom of Laughter wished that they had thought of the stunt first. Realizing she had the crowd fully focused on her, Juliana bent down next to the girl still holding out the candy. She allowed her skirts to fold around her before pouncing at Shana and grasping the younger girl in a bear hug...not even realizing that Shana may confuse the move as aggressive.*

Shana watched as Juliana suddenly swung the emotional gamut from anger to bubbling effervescence. Announcing that she would escort Shana around the city all day, and then give her what Shana could only assume was some sort of gift, she then impulsively swept the girl up in her arms. Shana stiffened at the unexpected contact and was not sure how to react until she remembered the dragons telling her that this sort of thing was generally considered an affectionate act among humans. She had seen some of the sailors on the ship she had rode in on act this way as well, mostly when they had been drinking the fermented beverage called beer, so Shana allowed Juliana to do this. She couldn't help thinking that being attached to this highly noticeable woman might make it hard for Shana to blend in the crowd unnoticed as she would prefer, but she hadn't seen any dragons in this place as yet, and she felt it would be foolish to snub an offer of friendship.
Gently pushing Juliana away, and stuffing the rest of the fruit in her mouth, (as Juliana obviously didn't want it after all and Shana never wasted food) she said slowly in the human language, "Thank you. My name is Shana."
"Pleased to meet you, Shana!" Juliana said, grabbing one of her hands and pumping it up and down enthusiastically. "You're very lucky, you know. Some people would kill to be granted the company of my wonderful self for a whole day, not to mention a choice spot for one of my performances!"
"Oh," Shana said. "What is it that you do?" Apparently this girl had some talent at something that made her worth keeping. Shana was glad to hear that. She had been afraid this girl was completely useless.
Juliana looked stricken. "You've never heard of me? Really? Surely you've heard of my fame and beauty, and skill at singing!"
"No, I can't say I have," Shana said, shrugging, her long tail of red hair swishing in the light breeze, "but the place I live in is pretty remote." She didn't want to mention the dragons too much yet. Neither the sailors nor the caravan people had seemed to take kindly to their very mention.
Juliana then hugged Shana again. "Oh, you poor thing!" she cried. "We'll soon have you educated about the wide world around you!" Shana felt the blond girl would have continued, but then the older man interrupted her.
"Miss . . . Shana, is it, from what island do you hail from? It's hard to place you from your appearance."
"I grew up in the Desert of Anger," Shana said complacently. "I don't think I originally come from there though. My personality seems different from everything else there. I'm not sure which island I come from, my adopted family weren't sure themselves."
Juliana then clutched Shana in an even tighter embrace. "Oh, you poor, poor thing," she murmured. "Orphaned at a young age, all alone all your life! Juliana will make things better for you, you'll see!" Shana couldn't help noticing a strangely appraising glint both in Juliana's eyes and that of the older man who seemed to be her chaperone, however.
