Figured I might as well give little snippets of stuff from my next story, the sequel to Beyond Dreams. Check it out... "Yeah, well you can go to hell as far as I'm concerned!" Todd yelled at his father, as he walked out of his house with a duffel bag. This was the thrid arguement he had with his bastard of a father, and couldn't take it. He headed for the closest person who actually gave a damn about him growing up right, his sometimes odd neighbor, Johnny. However, the star of irony had another thing planned. Rain started to fall heavily, and Todd found a note taped to Johnny's door. "Hope you don't get into another arguement with your folks, cause i'm going to be gone for a few weeks. Some place in England contacted me, interested in my skills. They didn't say much, something about killing freaks. Whatever. Anyway, if you do need a place to stay, I know this one woman I used to date, you can..." Todd read outloud. Unfortuneatly, the rest of the note was illegible from the rain. Todd stood there for a moment, then began to pound on the door. "GOD FUCKING DAMN IT! WHY DOES LIFE ALWAYS SCREW ME OVER?!? WHY!?!" Todd yelled, starting to cry. He sat down on the doorstep and leaned on the door, depressed. "Todd..." he heard a feminine voice say quietly. He looked up, and saw a girl on the sidewalk, with tears in her eyes. It was the same girl at school, the one who insisted on being by his side at all times. "Lilith..." Come ride with me Through the veins of history I'll show you how god Falls asleep on the job... Pepito woke up, and stretched. He shut off his alarm, and got dressed. By looking at his room, it was hard to tell what kind of person he was. Mixes of black with bright colors, evil looking masks on one wall, motivational posters on the other, and other odd knick knacks. He often dressed in black, but you would never meet a more happy and well adjusted person. After checking his email, playing a quick game of Quake 4, and listening to some music, he went downstairs to get breakfast. "Anyway Luce, I was hoping we could get a trip to Hawaii, or maybe somewhere in California. It's been awhile since the whole family has been on a trip together." A voice spoke from the kitchen. Pepito came around the corner, and saw his mother making breakfast, and his father conversing with a woman. Pepito brightened up even more on seeing this woman. "Hi Aunt H(not revealing the rest of the name)..." And how can we win When fools can be kings Don't waste your time Or time will waste you... Calvin stopped the van in the middle of the street, one hand on the wheel, the other on his trusty Desert Eagle. Sasami sat in the passenger seat, prepping a first aid kit. Skuld stood on the middle seat, through the sunroof, calling out for survivors. Todd sat in the back, loading a sniper rifle. Next to him was Lilith, counting shells for her shotgun. Next to her was Pepito, holding a molotov cocktail, one hand on the bottle, the other on the rag, ready to light and throw if the situation called for it. Skuld climbed back down, frowning. "It's no use, this whole place is...dead." She said, her voice full of sorrow. The entire suburb around them was in shambles, some buldings burning, others adorned with the mark of Beelzebub. At the far end of the street, a few human shapes shuffled around the corner, walking with odd, stiff motions. "Todd, we got some marks, that's your cue." Calvin said. Skuld moved to the backseat, and Todd took her place. He poked his head out of the sunroof, lined up the shot, and fired... No one's gonna take me alive The time has come to make things right You and I must fight for our rights You and I must fight to survive... This is all early writing, some things may change, but I thought I'd get you giddy for the next story... |
