//When you type OOC, you will double slash before what you say. Then just double space below. I want everyone to get some practice and have some fun before we go to whatever world is decided upon. And so begins our adventure through time and space. Who am I? I am the Beyonder, the Overseer; some may even call me God. Anyway, there's this group of people in Japan whose lives revolve around a boy named Tenchi. Strange things are always happening to them - in fact, it apperars another journey is about to begin, courtesy of - yours truly. I have, er... replaced *cuts to captured Katsuhito* *MMF! MUUMMUUFFF!* QUIET YOU! *focus back on Beyonder* Anyway, I've taken the place of one of them and set in motion a chain of events that will cause... *drumroll* THE NEW ADVENTURES IN TIME AND SPACE! Yes, I have singlehandedly fixed the Dimensional Tuner, and will soon secretly activate it... after this, you will only hear from me every time the dimensional tuner switches worlds. Now... *assuems guise of Katsuhito* I have to work at the shrine! *begins to acutally ACT like Katsuhito* "Well, now, it's rather quiet today. I wonder what everyone else is up to?" Katsuhito was doing his usual cleaning up at the shrine. Even though all the girls were back at the shrine, things were still quiet. No one was after them. The only thing even close to action that happened was when Mihoshi crashed into the lake the other week, because Kiyone was dumb enough to let her drive. "Well, it's late enough that I think I can close the shrine. I think I'll go down to the house and see what's up with everyone." //Yes, that's how I set things up. Also, this universe we're currently in is Tenchi Universe. Just keep that in mind. |

//Tenchi Universe? Bah, I hope you won't mind if I play the OVA Kagato instead of the TV Series one... There is a crackle in the air, and a dimensional rift appears deep in the wood surrounding the shrine. Through steps a man dressed in black with a green cloak. He looks around at his surrounding, and clicks his fingers, his clothes becoming a black suit with a green trench coat over the top. "HHhhhhm, this place looks familar, yet not quite right. If my calculations are correct, "They" should be here, in some form, but not the one I am familar with. I may still be able to use them to my purposes... Firstly, I will have to observe them, incognito... Hopefully things are different enough here for me to not be recognised..." The man steps out of the woods, and walks up the steps towards the shrine. |

Ahead was a view of spectacular scenic beauty. The radiant glow of the gas giant Saturn and its rings basking in the unfiltered sunlight of space was breathtaking and difficult to describe with words as the Yagami spaceship glided silently into orbit about the wondrous planet. Inside the ship's cockpit was also a scene of silence and beauty. However, this beauty was having a difficult time keeping her eyesight on the beautiful scene outside the ship's forward viewing screen. Slowly and completely on their own, Kiyone's upper eyelids sought inexorably to meet her lowers, like two long lost lovers yearning to be reunited. Slowy, drooping lower and lower ... and lower to a close. And then as if the weight of her great mane of glorious emerald green hair spilling over one side of her face pulled her head down she nodded ... and awoke with a start. A muted "Huh?" was the only sound she made and momentarily a scowl crossed her face. It didn't last long though and the bland look of utter boredom once again returned to Kiyone's face. A quick glance at the panel readouts revealed to her unshocked dismay that of course nothing had changed ... even a little bit. And once again her eyelids began their yearning dance with each other. And once again they met peacefully allowing Kiyone a brief interlude to nod off and again ... awake with a start. "Gyaahhh!" she shouted angrily. "There's more crime in a geriatric bingo parlor than in this system! I can't take this anymore!!" she observed with disgust and grabbed her coffee mug. The coffee was room temperature and stale, but Kiyone downed a large gulp with gusto. "Maybe Mihoshi has the right idea after all." Kiyone said to herself. "Maybe it would be better if I just slept through this assignment and woke up at the end when it's all over?" She thought on this for only a moment before bursting out - "Noooooooooo!! What am I thinking??" She shouted to the empty room. Mihoshi wasn't there on the bridge at the moment, apparently sleeping or maybe just goofing off, but Kiyone didn't really want to find out which. "This boredom is driving me insane!! The only way I'll ever get out of this assignment is when the guys in the white lab coats cart me off to Andalasia in a straight jacket!" Kiyone fumed. But in only a few minutes her temper disappeared and she went back to staring at the unchanging information on the Yagami's display panels. The patrol of Saturn complete, the Yagami followed its programmed course out of orbit and on towards Uranus. One more time Kiyone was about to nod off when a bright red square in one of the panels began to flash and emit an annoying beeping sound. "Huh? What's this?" Kiyone instantly snapped to attention and eagerly observed the data being displayed. For the first time in month, Kiyone had something to do. "Oh ... another disturbance on Earth, in Okayama Japan." Kiyone sighed. "I wonder what Washu is up to this time?" She examined the data a little while longer and soon became a bit more interested. "This is a little odd ... a dimensional rift ... but it's slightly different from the ones I've seen Washu messing around with. If I didn't know her so well I wouldn't be able to tell the difference, but I'm guessing that it's not Washu this time ... hmm?" Kiyone rubbed her chin for a second and then the blinking red light disappeared. "Whatever it was it's gone now, but I still need to investigate anyways." With her right hand, Kiyone deftly touched out a long sequence of keys on the control panel to her right. The Yagami left its programmed course for Uranus and now made course for Earth. Then with her left hand Kiyone opened up the shipwide intercom and called into it - "Mihoshi! Mihoshi, report to the bridge! We have work to do!" As hard as she tried, Kiyone was never able to call out her partner's name without sounding annoyed. |

*tak tak tak tak tak-ity tak tak tak* ...and there has also been a lack of disturbance on the planet of jupiter. The rings surrounding the planet look a lot like the ring my cup left on Kiyone's desk. I tried so hard to scrub it off, but then I got hungry and took a coffee and red bean bun break. The bun tasted soooo good! It was sweet and just what I needed after working so hard at scrubbing that stain. So far Kiyone hasn't noticed anything different about her desk. She hasn't left the controls of the ship since we left Mars. Every time I step near the control panel her hair gets really frizzy and she starts talking louder and then I usually end up cleaning or working on this report. *Mihoshi stopped typing her report for a few seconds to take a sip of her coffee. She set the mug down on Kiyone's desk which has more rings on it than Saturn.* "All this work is really making me hungry!!! Kiyone won't mind if I take a break from my report to have a snack right? Just a small bun and then it's right back to my report." *Mihoshi opened her snack drawer and pulled out packets of ramen and various types of earth candy before finally coming upon her stash of red bean buns. Mihoshi pulled one out and stuffed it into her vortex like mouth and began chewing ferociously.* "One mowe won' huwt" *Mihoshi then reached into her package and stuffed two more buns into her mouth at once* SPEAKER: "Mihoshi! Mihoshi, report to the bridge! We have work to do!" "Cowing Ionay" (Coming Kiyone for those who don't speak "mouth stuffed full of food") *Mihoshi choked down as much of her snack as she could while brushing any crumbs off of her uniform. As she took off toward the bridge, she wondered why the speaker system in the ship always made kiyone's voice sound so annoyed.* |

// sweet its finally underway! im guessing with ryoko i do some sort of a 'meanwhile'.......? anyway here goes// *Ryoko was up quite early this morning for some reason. She usually slept in late to avoid chores and wake up in perfect timing for breakfast; but this morning was different. Ryoko was near by the cave (where Washu was released), up in a big tree meditating trying to get a better sense of what had disturbed her usual blissful slumber* "What is this I'm sensing....... It's something i haven't felt in a long time...... I dont like this at all." * With a grim look on her face, she looked out across the beautiful autumn landscape of Okayama* (yes its always autumn here lol) "this place sure is wonderful, i never want to leave here." *She then turned her head skyward and grinned* "Being up in the stars is still awesome too though, heheh........... I wonder if sasami's made breakfast yet, I better do some form of work this morning. That girl just works too hard." *she floated off towards Tenchi's field to look for something to do* bkev here! I've cleaned up your grammar a bit; one of my pet peeves. If you wouldn't mind proofreading it youreslf a bit that'd be great. |

//I'd prefer you not use colored text, but it's up to you. You don't always need to put *'s next to your text, only when someone is doing an action.// "Wow. I wonder if I worked an all-nighter at the shrine? It seems the sun is coming up... well, I guess I can take the rest of the day off then. I guess I'll walk down to the house." Katushito was unaware that it was Kagato's presence that had caused the change. "Let's see... at this hour, Mihoshi and Kiyone will be on patrol, Ryoko should asleep, Washu in her lab working on her next invention, Ayeka plotting how to get Tenchi, Sasami trying to calm her down, Noboyuki watchin his old dirty films, and Tenchi might be working in the fields by now." Katsuhito knew everyone well enough to realize their schedules. "Heh, I wonder how Jurai is doing without Ayeka... let's hope there's not another coup. Heck, for all I know, Kagato's come back from the dead! Hah-hah!" Now that that drama was over, Katsuhito was pretty laid back...* "Huh? I sense someone... over THERE!" *...but that didn't mean he hadn't continued his daily training. He was still on the mark. "Show yourself!" Usually, Katushito would not be worried about one little presence; but, this one had an aura of evil surrounding it. Somewhat familiar, yet also different. //That's Kagato. You'd better come up with some kind of story! |

Kagato, walking in plain sight up the steps, had reached the shrine at the top, only to be points at and be issued a command to "show himself". First he glances behind himself, turns to look at Katushito with a raised brow, and speaks, his voice full of sarcasm. "Do you want me to wear a Hat with a flashing light on it?" He takes a few more steps towards Katushito, before making a sweeping bow. "Sorry for my little joke, but it is rude to point, after all. *smerk* Maybe you can help me? I'm looking for the Masaki residence? I have business with one of the guests I believe to be staying with them right now. An inventer, I was hoping to share some ideas with?" This was far from a lie. His dimensional rift control device has indeed been shorted on his trip to his reality, and since the device he has used had orginally been one of his World's Washu's ideas, it would be likely whatever Washu here would have a good idea on how to fix it, with the added bonus she did not know him, and would not be entirely suspicious of him. And this would be an easy way of getting close to them. And who knows, maybe this Washu had had some inventions of her own for him to steal. However, these people were better at noticing him than he had first expected. Maybe he should hide his energy, and his motives, a little better. // Heh, this writes itself! And I did type walks Out of the Woods Onto the Steps leading up to the Shrine. I wasn't hiding.... Why is everyone so suspicious of me? I'm definitely not a villain! |

Fields were always very peaceful early in the morning. It was the only time Tenchi could get any peace and quiet during the day. The sun had just barely come up but Tenchi had been out for near half an hour already working on the carrots that Ryo-Ohki loved so much. "Ryo-Ohki will be happy when I come back with basket full these." He chuckled to himself. Taking a break, he stood his back hoe up and rested his head on it and began looking out onto the lake. He thought how wonderful it looked at this of day. But those thoughts were quickly shattered as he saw Ryoko flying straigh at him. "Oh no." He thought too himself as he started to panick. |

// haha that 'flashing light' bit made me laugh kagato. thanx bkev, grammar was never my major. i think color helps make it easier to read. Anyway liking the story so far.// *Ryoko had spotted Tenchi in the fields and was delighted to see that he was alone!* "GOOD MORNING TENCHI HONEY!" she said, beaming as she flew into his arms, knocking his huge basket of carrots into the sky. "Opps!" she flew towards the basket quick as lighting and caught them before they spilled everywhere. "Heheh, sorry Tenchi." *^^''* she said holding them whilst still floating in front of him. "Ryoko!" yelped Tenchi, sprawled out on the ground, " Its too early for that!" *Ryoko hovered down slowly and helped him up with one hand while still holding the basket in the other.* "Im sorry Tenchi," she said putting on her innocent 'act', " I keep forgetting about my powers, ya know its not so easy for a girl like me to adapt to this planet and its inhabitants." "Its ok Ryoko, lets go get some breakfast........why are you up at this hour anyway?" "You know its the strangest thing Tenchi............" *they both walk off toward the house.* //are we only ment to do dialogue for our own characters or do we write it as a scene by scene story? if so sorry Paintdawg oo".// |

//I'll allow both. "If I may ask, how do you know of our guests? Do you wish to buy one of Washu's weapons? We really don't want any trouble..." Katsuhito was well aware of his guest's infamy. The mysterious man paused, seemed nervous, the calmed himself down. He preceded to say: "Ah! My apologies. I am a scientist myself, hoping to study under your friend. She is quite known throughout the galaxy as being the greatest scientific genius in the universe, and I think if we teamed up we could both benefit." Katsuhito looked at the man funny, and then he responded. "Well, I wouldn't know any of that stuff; but, Washu can be found down at the house. Let me show you the way!" "No! Let us!" Washu's puppets, A and B, popped up out of nowhere, grabbed Kagato, and then popped right back to where they came from. "A strange man, looking for an even stranger alien..." Katsuhito said to himself. He then began to head back home, as he had originally planned. |

// ah, ok then cool.// *Ryoko and Tenchi were in quite a serious discussion as they walked through the sliding doors right beside the kitchen* "Im telling ya Tenchi i havent felt somthing like this since we fought kagato." "Well i it couldn't be him could it," Tenchi said, " you and i both know that i......um killed him.." Ryoko looked down at the floor with a worried look on her face. "Well I hope your right Tenchi....I hope your right...." *Just at that moment Ayeka came through the the doors at the opposite side of the lounge. she had been watering the garden and, as usual, was annoyed with Ryoko for not helping out. However her feelings changed from annoyance to jealousy is she noticed Ryoko walking in beside Tenchi with a big basket of carrots in her arms.* "Well arnt we up early this morning!" she said, looking smugly at Ryoko. As Tenchi saw her, his heart sank. "Here comes the morning ritual." he thought with a sigh. Ryoko grinned as she recognized the opportunity to gloat. however she noticed something different in Ayekas tone... "Ayeka would usually get allot madder than this...," she thought, " i wonder whats kept her so controlled....." "Uhhhh im goin to see how Sasamis doing in the kitchen!" exclaimed Tenchi nervously as he hurried quickly away from the storm to come. "Yes!" said ryoko confidently, "i thought i would get up and help you guys out this morning.. got a problem with that princess?" "Not all Ryoko, i think its very nice that your finally willing to pull your weight around here!" with that she turned her nose up and walked quickly after Tenchi into the kitchen. "..........weird........" thought Ryoko and she floated down through the floor. she still had the same uneasy feeling and it had only gotten stronger since she arrived back at the house. "I wonder if she felt it too... im gona see if Washus detected anything?". |

When Tenchi fianlly got into the kitchen he realized that there was no yelling from Ryoko and Ayeka. "Thats odd, they should be at each others throats by now." He said out loud. "You talking about Ryoko and my sister Tenchi?" Sasami said as she was making breakfast. "Um, yea. Force of habit to expect them screaming I guess. Hahaha." Tenchi laughed. Turning around he noticed Ryoko wasn't anywhere insight. "Hey Ryoko! Where'd you go? We need those carrots you were carrying!" Ryo-Ohki rushed into the kitchen at the sound "carrot" but was sad to see none at all. "Sorry Ryo-Ohki, Ryoko had but but I don't where she went with them. Sasami need any help?" Tenchi asked. |

// haha damn i forgot about the carrots=P. guess it goes to show, you gota pay attention to detail.// *Ryoko entered Washu's enormous lab through the portal with the bell, but when she looked around the room there was no Washu in sight. At that point she noticed she still had the basket of carrots in her hand. "Ahh damnit!" she swore and put them down on a near by bench. "Hmmm, she'd usually be right there at her chair.." thought ryoko, "brurrrr i really dont like this place, but it seems even more creepy than usual today.....what is going on?" Ryoko walked over to the tanks containing 3 strange artifacts. The artifacts all looked different but there was something about them that made it seem like they belonged to each other. Not only that, but they were all emitting a strange green light. "meh, shes had way weirder stuff than this in those tanks." she chuckled to herself. "WASHUUUU!!!" she called out. ..............no reply. "Guh, where is she?" said Ryoko, starting to get annoyed. All of a sudden a surge of energy raced threw her! Ryoko turned around quickly. "WHOS THERE?!" she commanded into a dark corner of Washus lab. Ryoko started to feel nervous, the power she sensed before was right there in the black, she new who that power belonged to! Ryoko stepped back and forged her beam saber. "COME OUT HERE KAGATO!" she yelled, glaring into the darkness. Then to her surprise and absolute horror, something far worse than Kagato came out. Infact two things appeared through a portal which made Ryoko do a huge face fault! "Oh Ryoko, settle down." mocked Washu," Is that anyway to treat our guests? Yelling at them? Honestly i thought you knew better." Ryoko was horrified. There they were talking and giggling to each other like old school chums. Washu and Kagato! // Im thinking the artifacts can have something to do with how the time/space machine operates?// |

// We're still in the Tenchi Universe setting, right? The TV Series, not the OAV? I think we're getting a little confused.... And I was hoping that our Washu was going to post before my next post. Kagato, still in his "Earth" clothes stepped forward and performed another sweeping bow. "Greetings, my dear... Ryoko was it? My Name is indeed Kagato. Have we met? Or are you confusing me with someone else? I am told by Little Washu here, that you and the others here fought another called Kagato a while ago. But I am not connected to them, as I have been told that they were Jurian decent, while I have not a drop of their blood in me at all", he said out loud, "Thank god, those damn filthy decent of Tomb raiders...." he added in the prviacy of his own head. //I seem to remember that Kagato had a dislike of them for a reason that was something along those lines, or something. Ryoko looked more closely at this new Kagato. "But you look kinda like the one we fought..." "Well I'm not..." replied Kagato dryly. "Yeah, he's not, and he's brought us new toys to play with!" Said the first puppet. "So stop bothering him, so he can hand them over!" said a second. Kagato kept smiling on the outside, but inside he shuddered. Those puppets were really getting on his nerves, and he was close to blasting them to ashes. He did not think much of this World's Washu. Back where he had come from, Wasu was a true genius, and a wise teacher. In this world she was a bonifide Mad Scientist, and was giving him second thoughts about handing over the device. Again Kagato found himself glancing back at the tanks to one end of the lab. There was something about those artifacts, that reminded him of something, which never happened. Of a strange character in a Green jumpsuit, with a mask and red glowing eyes, holding a flaming sword. Of a Place he had never visited, a strange erie foggy town by the sea. And of.... Tentacles and fish. He had no idea about that last one. Specially the fish. At first glance, they didn't look much. It wasn't until the fourth glance one realised that there was something very wrong with them. They looked solid and unchanging, yet Kagato was becoming aware of details that were not on them the first glance, and could not find details that had been on them before. Now they looked as they orignally had, only... the one on the left had been on the right and vice versa. The Central one worried him most. It seemed to change the least, but the way it change made it feel like it was watching him. It looked like an Egyptian Pharoah's Mask, but was made of a strange dark metal. He was sure they were responsible for his device shorting out. He glared at them for a second, before stopping himself. //Hope you don't mind me adding reference to the previous aborted Survivor? Can't go wrong with a little Lovecraft... I'm sure Nyarlathotep would definitely love messing around to send people to other dimensions or something. The item on the right which had orginally been on the left, looked like a book bound in human flesh... a few seconds ago, now it looked like an almost normal black notebook, with large white letter on the cover saying Deathnote. Kagato remembered hearing of something like that, and decided to ask about it. "Tell me, Little Washu, where did you get this... Deathnote?" "Oh, the local newsagent. They had a sale on Shoun Jump Mangas!" "Mang-?" Kagato began, turning to look again, only to see an everyday manga, entitled Deathnote, in the tank... to the left. "... Do you usually store your comics like this?" |
