Episode II - No Need for Unexpected Guests!

As the flash receeded, nothing seemed to have happened.

"What? My wonderful plan for wacky antics!" The Overseer was quite upset that his plan failed. "And here I was, thinking that the Dragonball world could be accessed with this machi-uh oh..." he looked at the machine and found that he had hit "import" rather than "assimilate."

"So then, this means - one of them is here... crap." The Overseer re-assumed his guise as Katsuhito, and ran away from the scene. He could still probably blame Mihoshi for all this.

"Now, who is it that came? I sense a strong power level, but not the strongest... a similar personality to that of Kiyone*, only it's on the inside... could it be the one they call seventeen?" The Overseer wondered.

Meanwhile, a ship similar to that of Ryo-Ohki was heading straight towards Earth.. who is inside the ship? Where is the mysterious visitor? all will be revealed on this exciting episode of TENCHI BALL ZEEEEEE-*is bricked*

Ready to go!

//Thank you! Now I can finally get started with my folks. Oh, and I've decided that to make things easier to discern between dialogue and thought, I'm gonna use italics to indicate when a person is thinking in their head as opposed to quotation marks when they're actually talking or thinking aloud. Hopefully that's cool with everyone, and more people decide to take that up, as I think it actually helps clarity to do that…//

A figure suddenly appeared in the woods, a couple ways off from the fields around the Masaki house, completely covered in a bright flashing white light. The light soon dimmed out and faded away, revealing a young man in medium length, straight-cut raven black hair going down to just above his shoulders. He sported a brown jacket, with the buttons left open, and an orange scarf around his neck, both over a black short-sleeved shirt which has a red ribbon insignia on one side with two Rs written in white on the ribbon. He wore a pair of long blue jeans with a noticeable tear above the left knee and a gun holster with a pistol held inside. Sporting a pair of green/blue/white tri-colored sneakers tied together with white shoelaces, the young man looked around with confusion written all over his icy blue eyes.

"Whoa… what just happened? Where the hell am I, anyway? One second, I'm relaxing on an island, the next I'm…" he started to ask himself, though he soon realized that he wasn't gonna get anywhere just standing out in the middle of a forest.

"…out in the woods?" he sounded off, confused, finishing his earlier question to no one in particular. "Hmm… better take a look around," he soon decided, slowly taking to the air until he got above all the trees and got to take a good look at the land around him. He noticed that off to the distance, there was a house located in the middle of a field.

I could go there right away, and see if anyone's home, he thought. But… maybe that's not all there is around here. I wanna make sure I know the territory before I make any stupid mistakes, like the one that got me absorbed by that bug-eyed freak. If I'm gonna have some fun around here, I need to know what I'm dealing with. With that in mind, he continued to look around until he noticed that even further off, there was what appeared to be a staircase leading to a shrine. A shrine, huh? I wonder who could be so important as to deserve that… guess I'll head there right away and find out.

So, the boy, who looked somewhere between the ages 17 to 21, moreso on the younger side of that equation, flew off towards the shrine entrance and landed right there, on top of the staircase. Thinking he may have heard some footsteps, he took a look backwards, only to find that there was nothing there. So with a shrug, he decided to walk over to the shrine, going to open the door, only to find out upon trying to turn the knob that it was locked. He then sighed wanderingly, becoming a little bored and reminiscing a bit at the same time.

This used to be the part where #18 usually told me to stop playing around and blow the damn place up and look inside, he reminisced. Maybe I should actually take up my sister on that suggestion for once. After entertaining that thought for a little bit, he figured it couldn't hurt to see what was inside, and surely a place like this could stand a little tear, which is all he intended to do. So, he leaped backwards all the way back to the entrance and stuck out his left arm, charging a yellow ball of ki energy from said hand.

Let's see if this place can take the heat of my Photon Blast! he decided, unleasing the wave of ki energy upon the shrine. However, a barrier suddenly showed itself through flashes and the explosion of the blast seemed to actually be impacting around the barrier, but never quite getting past it or affecting the house at all.

"Whoa! Whoever's protecting this place must be pretty good with spells or something!" he remarked as the power of the actually useless blast generated a fierce wind which forced him to cover his eyes from whatever dust could be flying around. As the wind faded out and the smoke cleared up, he was able to observe the scene and see that the actually shrine grounds themselves were completely unaffected.

Looks like if there's people around, I'm gonna be having a blast here. Probably literally, he surmised, this little experience here giving him a reason to look forward to whatever strange trip he just took.

Meanwhile, out in space, heading towards a certain piece of the Earth inside her very own special cabbit ship, Ken-Ohki, Nagi the bounty hunter was waiting patiently yet anxiously for this next encounter with Ryoko.

Something really strange just happened, and it came from there, she surmised. That really bright light that seemingly shook up the entire universe just now? Thanks to Ken-Ohki, I spotted it from its point of origin. The very part of the Earth where that wretch Ryoko lives, along with the rest of those women and that Tenchi boy. Suddenly, Ken-Ohki's sensors detected something else coming from there. This time, the explosion was very minimal, only a little blip compared to the great one that shocked the entire universe not too many minutes ago… but still it fueled her desire to get down there and take that space pirate and whoever else could've been responsible for such chaos.

"Ken-Ohki, I need you to go full speed towards that shrine location where Ryoko lives. Can you do that for me?" she asked her faithful ship, which let out an exuberantly loyal "Chou!" before following his master's order and heading full speed towards the location of the Masaki house.

Finally, Ryoko, was the thought running through her mind. Get ready for us to settle the score.

Mihoshi stood still with her finger still hovering above the last button she pushed. Her big blue eyes were the widest they'd been in awhile and her golden blond hair was sticking straight out for one of the first times in her life. Breaking out of the trance and shock of being at ground zero for a blast, she poofed her hair back out and then backed away from the machine. She began looking around for an exit so she could rejoin the rest of the group and tell Kiyone all about how she had just risked her life in order to defuse what was obviously a dangerous weapon. She would have to include that in her report back to headquarters as well. As Mihoshi continued to walk around the lab, she was unaware of Chibi A and Chibi B who were both close on her heals. As she examined another invention...a shiny invention, Chibi A crouched down behind her. Chibi B then lunged out of the darkness, spooking Mihoshi and causing her to trip over Chibi A and into a hole in the floor.

"Ahhhhhh!!!" Mihoshi screamed as she fell through the floor and out of a closet in Tenchi's kitchen...landing with a thud in the middle of the floor wrapped in the tentacles of various mops.

Mihoshi quickly jumped up and brushed herself off exclaiming excitedly, "You'll never guess where I've been!"

Katsuhito returned to the table as discretely as he had left. "Let me guess... you wandered into Washu's lab?"

"AAAAH! Which of my inventions did you destroy this time?" Washu asked. Washu was the one who was plagued the most by Mihoshi's existence - even more than Kiyone. First Mecha-Washu failed, now she managed to ... well, Washu wasn't sure what she'd done but she was sure it was bad.

"EEEEK! KAGATO!" Mihoshi forgot that they had previously been introduced, and hid behind Kiyone.

//Until Shiro isn't busy (Late August) I'll take Washu. Also, MihoshisMan, if my characterization of Mihoshi bothers you at all I'll edit this post.

After a few seconds of everyone ducking and covering there heads with there hands, Tenchi opened his eye's and realized he, and everyone else seemed ok and were still in his house. With hope shimmering in his eyes he looked outside and his house and saw it was still by the lake.

"Oh thanks goodness, looks like nothing happened." He sighed with relief. Hearing what Tenchi had just said everyone else got up and looked around. "Anyone hurt?" Tanchi asked.

"Oh for a second there I thought we were all going to go through all that crazy stuff again about going to different worlds." Tenchi's dad said.

"Hey Washu! Whats the Big idea!?" Yelled Ryoko. "What are you trying to pull this time?"

"WHAT?!? YOU THINK I WANNA HAVE TO FIX THAT THING AGAIN?!?" Washu replied in a mania. "The damn machine ain't even perfected yet. I still gotta work out all the kinks... in fact, I think I'd better check on it now." She opens a portal to her lab, and walks in; soon, the rest follow.

The young man looked at the scene before him as though expecting to happen. And in truth, he really was. He was actually half-expecting someone to come out of the shrine and greet him. But after about a minute of waiting, he grew bored, and combined with the idea that if someone was there they would've stepped out or called out and said something by now, he decided to shout out, asking if anybody's home. Not receiving an answer, he finally decided to go down, and he started walking down the stairs of the shrine, still anticipating the fun he was about to have here. As he was walking down, he suddenly remembered the house near here that he saw.

Must be where they live, he figured, continuing to go down the extremely long staircase. Though that wouldn't last long, as during the walk, he ended up catching sight of some kind of large craft flying down towards…

…and as he looked down where it was headed, he realized it was the house.

Better take flight. This could take a billion years if I keep walking, he thought, now becoming impatiently curious. And so, he took to the air, flying somewhat slowly so that whoever what in whatever that thing would have enough time to get down before he caught them.

Meanwhile, after just breaking into the atmosphere, Nagi's ship gradually slowed down and took a soft landing a little ways off from the house, though still close enough to it that a short walk would suffice. Ken-Ohki then opened up, allowing Nagi to come out, and as she landed soundly on her feet, turned back into a cabbit.

"Well, Ken-Ohki? Let's go," Nagi instructed her white cabbit, as she walked along towards the house, the loyal spaceship pet following along very closely. Soon enough, she was indeed at the door to the Masaki house. However, before she got there…

"Hey, you!" a voice suddenly called out to her from above. Turning around and looking up, she saw the young man and noticed above all else that he was actually flying in the air.

"Who are you?" she calmly demanded, very wary of this guy's presence. Ken-Ohki let out a loud and protective "Chou!", also worried that this could be a foe.

"Relax. I was just about to ask you the same question," he replied, before floating on down to the surface and walking over to them. "So, do you live here?"

"No. But I know a wanted criminal who does," she explained, before turning around to knock on the door.

"Wanted criminal? What are you, some kind of a space policewoman or something?" the young man asked her incredulously.

"No, there's two of them who live in here too. I'm a bounty hunter. The name's Nagi. I came to take the criminal because she's the only one I ever tried to catch and failed."

"Okay, Nagi. Are you sure you don't live here?" he asked, just to be annoying. And it worked.

"I already said, I don't, but I came for someone who does," she irritably repeated.

"Just asking," he said, a mischievous grin coming on his features. "Tell you what. Why don't I help you catch this criminal and you get to do me a favor in return later on?"

"Nobody takes Ryoko but me," Nagi sternly told him right at that instant, taking him aback a little. "Now, I don't know who the hell you are, but I'd advise you to stay out of my business."

"Not a chance," he replied, only drawing even more of her ire, as evident by the growing scowl on her face which he enjoyed seeing.

"Ugh! Just who are you, anyway!?" she yelled, now officially tired of him. Though it didn't seem to faze him at all.

"Well, to make a long story short, I'm a cyborg," he bluntly explained.

"Cyborg?" Nagi asked, a little surprised by that.

"Yeah. Artificial Human No. 17," he detailed, giving her what was apparently his "name", or number, in the process. She looked a little puzzled about that, as he noticed, so he went on. "In case you're wondering… yes. My name is a number. You can blame the mad scientist that took me and made me into this. But enough about that. Are we going in or what?"

After looking down at Ken-Ohki, who was not as protectve as before but still wary of #17's presence, Nagi sighed as she made her decision:

"Fine. We're going in. But… if you try anything fishy, #17, you're going down with Ryoko."

And on that note, she finally knocked on the door, accepting this new companion for the time being.

"oh why oh why!" moaned Tenchi, "i was going to get a job this hoildays!"

Ryoko phased next to him. "hey its ok honey," she said jokingly, patting him on the head," Just think of this as work experience! You can put it on your resume! ^_^"

"Thats NOT funny Ryoko..." sighed Tenchi with twin waterfall eyes.

"Actually!" exclaimed Ryoko in a loud and confident voice, "I think we could use another Space/Time Adventure! I know i could!
we've all been sitting around eating chips and watching DBZ for too long! ahh yes to be among the stars again, fighting for honor and freedom,
saving people from the impending doom of the evil forces of the universe...........ect ect!"

"WHAT the hell are you talking about Ryoko!" yelled Ayeka frustrated, with the Delusional speech she was hearing,
"you were a blood thirsty space pirate who stole billions of innocent peoples money and whipped out several planets
,who's economy will most likely never prosper again!"

Ryoko paused and rubbed her chin in thought.
"Hmmmm.........Thats not how i remember it." she said confused.

*everyone face faults!*

Little did Ryoko know that the adventure's she once had and so longed for we're closer than she thought. For soon the encounter she would have
would mean the fight of her life!

Mihoshi continued to tremble behind Kiyone for a few more seconds, gripping her best friend tightly around the waist. Since Mihoshi had been frightened by Kagato she was oblivious that everyone else had left the room and held Kiyone hostage in her hug in the process. It wasn't long before she had forgotten what had frightened her and had moved on to just enjoying a hug with one of the greatest people she knew. Mihoshi knew that Kiyone wasn't perfect but Mihoshi felt that she was the perfect friend...after all, even though Kiyone did have a problem controlling the volume of her voice...it wasn't her fault that it got louder every now and then. As Mihoshi hugged Kiyone's squirming body, she heard a knock at the front door. Mihoshi released her hold on Kiyone and walked toward the door as the portal closed around the other members of Tenchi's household. As Mihoshi opened the door, she could hear Kiyone gasping for air and thought to herself how sad it was that her partner had an asthma attack every time they hugged.

"Hi!" Mihoshi said with a cheerful expression to the guests waiting outside. Although she recognized Ken-Ohki and his bounty hunter Nagi, she did not recognize the gentleman at the doorway. She then turned to her best friend in the house, "Guess what! Washu's not the only one with a new boyfriend! Look Nagi has one too!" She clasped her hands together in excitement and contiuned to talk excitedly, "Oh Kiyone! Aren't they so cute? Nagi's blushing she's so in love...and you always thought she had a secret crush on Ryok-"

Mihoshi's sentence was cut short as Kiyone's jumped forward and clasped her hand tightly over Mihoshi's mouth.

"Uh, sorry about that," the blue-haired woman replied within a nervous grin and laugh as she covered her blonde partner's mouth, which was apparently running on overdrive.

"So, we meet again, detectives," Nagi presumed. She, unlike #17, who was completely puzzled when she uttered the word "detectives", recognized them all too well. The blue-haired one was Galaxy Police officer Kiyone Makibi, and her blonde companion was Mihoshi Kuramitzu, her partner on the force.

"Detectives? You mean these two are the lady space cops?" #17 then asked in disbelief. Noticing how much she and Mihoshi were embarrassing themselves, Kiyone let go of Mihoshi and posed with her hands on her hips.

"First class Galaxy Police detectives, to be exact," she then replied with fake enthusiasm, as evidenced by her hand being raised up beside her face with the index finger pointing up. "I'm Kiyone Makibi, and this blonde airhead here is my partner, Mihoshi Kuramitzu."

"Hi!" Mihoshi cheerily added.

"And just for the record, Mihoshi, I've only known #17 here for the about five minutes. Obviously he's not my boyfriend," Nagi chimed in matter-of-factly, gesturing to the young man in black hair.

"Really? Oh, I'm sorry I upset you, Nagi! I just thought that since you and this fine gentlemen were both standing there waiting for us to open the door that maybe you were-"

"Mihoshi! That's enough," Kiyone burst out immediately, cutting off her partner's apologetic rambling at the pass.

"Sorry," Mihoshi apologized again, this time to her partner and much more curtly. However, Kiyone ignored her, inviting their visitors in and leading them to the living room, where both Nagi and #17 took seats on the couch, Ken-Ohki sidling up close to his master while #17 sat closer to Kiyone and Mihoshi

"Well, Mr. Handsome Guy Who Saya He's Not Nagi's Boyfriend, can you tell us just who you are, exactly?" Mihoshi asked.

"I am what they call a Jinzo'ningen, or, to be more specific, artificial human," #17 explained. "Specifically, I'm actually a cyborg."

"Artificial human?" Kiyone asked, as confused as her partner just became marveled.

"Yeah. Let's just say I have a history with mad scientists, and whatever name I may have had before that time was traded in for a number."

"And that number would be…" Kiyone trailed off, leaving room for the young man to finish. And he did so in kind, by simply telling her:

"17."

"Wait, so the number 17 is your name?" Mihoshi asked, seriously confused. Her somewhat absent-minded nature was now becoming obvious and as irritating to #17 as it was to Kiyone.

"Yes, you empty-headed blonde! #17 is his name!" Nagi shouted while storming up to her feet, the most irritated bystander of them all. "I still haven't even gotten to the fact that I came to fight Ryoko, and to find out what the hell was behind that strange explosion that came from here, shocked the entire universe, and ended up doing nothing!"

"Huh? Strange little explosion? You never said anything about an explosion!" #17 complained, having obviously been left out of the loop. What he knows is that he suddenly teleported here inexplocably, not that there was any sort of significant explosion.

"She didn't have to explain that. Everybody felt it!" Kiyone shouted, thinking it should've been obvious that there was an explosion.

"Either that or they saw a blinding bright light, or both!" Mihoshi exclaimed also, actually adding to the point and making a productive contribution for once.

"Well, I did see a bright light all over my body, just a few minutes ago when I was relaxing on an island somewhere," #17 explained. "One second I'm there, the bright white light covers my entire body. The next, it vanishes, and I'm out in the woods near this place."

So he sensed a white light coming over his body, but not the entire world, and when it vanished, he just suddenly appeared here? Nagi asked herself internally as she listened to the conversation. Just what exactly is going on around here?

//sorry bout that, i didnt realise wed started a new chapter so i was a lil confused with what was happening. anyway one thing at time lol, the rest have gota go check out the time/space device. Mihoshi and Kyione can bring 17 and Nagi down stairs soon and they can get sucked into the T/S distortion vortex too. ^^//

//Sucking everybody into the vortex can probably wait a bit. Bkev, who's basically running the shoe, remember, has to be the one to trigger that. We need to wait until he's ready to go and gives us his cue to move things along into the next episode. In the meantime, let's all have some fun.//
