The crossover inverse poll - Perfect *FOR* The Girls!

Okay, so we know that this forum is the Perfect Girl forum, meaning the forum where we discuss which of the Tenchi Muyo girls is best ("perfect") for the character Tenchi to be with. Unfortunately, the only reason this even exists is because Tenchi is the only truly noteworthy guy in that aspect in the entire program. What makes it unfortunate is that a very good case of argument has been made over time that he doesn't even deserve that distinction, and the only reason he has it is because Kajishima is trying throw a whole bunch of cartoon girls at himself. So the question of "what girl is best for Tenchi" really, for most people, subconsciously turns into "what girl is your favorite" before it even gets answered. Which is kind of a sad point, if you ask the champ, especially since it actually magnifies the flaws of a character that wasn't even created in the OAV to the point where one of the most mature audiences in the world used to hate her with a passion for years until Noike and Seto came along and bastardized all the Tenchi girls. Obviously, I'm talking about Sakuya.

So what does that have to do with this topic name, with the question that probably says something about outsiders saving the girls, and the poll choices consisting of the names of a whole bunch of different male characters from other animes? Real simple. Look at the name of the topic, ladies, gentlemen, boys, and girls. Realize that this is where the tables turn, this is where the formula crosses over all over the place and inverts itself, and enjoy the idea of pairing your girls with people other than Tenchi. See, this is the topic where we take from a list that I devised after discussions with bkev and a friend from outside this place, and decide which of them (or of anybody else you guys may have in mind) would be the best alternative to Tenchi for the girls to go home with.

Whether your chosen answer pertains to which would be best for all, most, a couple, or even just one of the girls, it really doesn't matter. All that matters is if you have an answer, and especially if it's at least one "other", in which you'd also have to tell us who this "other" is, please post and tell us why. (This is not a command, it's just that it gives us a better glimpse on things if you do so.) Feel free to change your mind, as I enabled that feature, and choose up to three if you find yourself unable to select just one.

(Though, unfortunately, if you're thinking of two or maybe even three "others", there's where it becomes a handicap match as I don't think you can vote "other" any more than one time…

Oh, wait, nevermind. That's what Other 2 and Other 3 are here for.)

Just so you guys know, this was partially inspired by Ann (Shotgun)'s quote of "Viva la bad guy" when talking about what Kajishima is doing with the OVAs and herself apparently being "the only person not to have to sleep with Tenchi." Not to say that each, or even most of the guys on the list, are supposed to be bad guys, but odds are at least some of their personalities are probably at least capable of the part.

Well, that's it from me. Have at it, guys. But remember - and I'm trying to make a reference to the former Perfect Girl/Sakuya wars here - this is not for war or for forum feuds, but for our own personal entertainment. And if you don't know, now you know - because that's… how I roll.

I say Vash the Stampede from Trigun for Ryoko based on the fact they're both wanted criminals...that not a very good reason I guess.

Well Vash is always getting out of trouble by the skin of his teeth and beating up on people. I think Vash could actually "handle" Ryoko in the sense that he could get of the way of her while she's trying get him. That would impress Ryoko cause it is very rare for when the person she's aiming for manages to get out of the way...that was another stupid reason.

kietaro from Love Hina would be great for any one of the girls. or how about that Wolfwood guy from Trigun? strong, goofy, serious, brutal. love him. he could handle ryoko, and get drunk with her, too. and do the other things she likes to do, but tenchi doesn't. my all time favorite is ryoga from ranma. i have been watching alot of anime i downloaded off the share drive overseas, but i still havn't seen it all. so i really don't know these characters!

None of the above. This poll is biased, the perfect girls for Tenchi included the Tenchi girls, but the perfect guy for the girls not include Tenchi?

Tenchi! OAV1/2 Tenchi to be specific.

The guys you listed are losers. Makoto from El-Hazard and Setsuna Mudo from Angel Sanctuary would be prime choices, but they're taken>:(

I took some time off to think your post over. You're still wrong.

I like Tenchi for Aeka and Sasami and several other (14 other) girls the best. It's hard to get a decent guy. Most men are manbearpigs including the list above. I also like (not for Aeka and Sasami though) Makoto of El-Hazard and Setsuna Mudo of Angel Sanctuary.

Having watched a few anime, I don't like most other guys. I don't know any on the list - making them losers. If they were worth knowing, I would have known them:D

Although, for Ryoko, I don't know which guy would suit her. Perhaps Seiryo.

…so, you've somehow deduced enough information to figure out that all these guys on me and kev's list are "manbearpigs", despite later admitting that you don't even know who they are. Then it's because you don't know who they are that they're losers?

What about those Makoto and Setsuna guys from outside the Tenchi series? The ones you suggested? There had to be some point in time where you didn't know them, right? You couldn't have known who they were since before you were born, could you? So would they be losers too, up until the moment you first saw them?

And if your answer is that you know them now so they're not losers, that doesn't work. Not unless you wanna be dared to actually take the time to get some information on the guys in the poll, if not watch them on the shows they're from.

I don't keep up with anime as much as I did in high school, so the only ones I'm familiar with are Ferio and Hatori.

I can easily see Hatori with Mihoshi, probably because she's the closest in personality to Kana. Ferio I'd put with a teenaged Sasami.
