SPK, while I understand your frustration, try to keep personal attacks out of your posts. As far as I've observed, Jib has had the courtesy to do that for you - if not, please show me.

umhm, this is something which I've drawn attention to a few times in the past, when like Dagon, I'd just had enough. Jibs argument is stale though. It's all based on her contempt for a character who she just cant seem to understand, and whether or not she's ever tried too understand is beyond me also. I mean i honestly don't see how anyone else could not see that; As a character, Ryoko is absolute genius. I and others like me have argued time and time again how she practically carries this show. With so many people standing for the exact same thing, i don't see how she can still frequently nit pick at such minute flaws, which in the end still contribute to why she is such a treat to watch on screen. anyway, these days, where ryoko is concerned, i find it hard to take anything Jibs says seriously anymore because a lot of the time its just ridiculous, inflammatory remarks or threads based on crude observations and concepts which she basically just made up. Ive had a hypothesis for a long time since that fateful day when Jib said: "i wish i'd never watched tenchi muyo". Before that i knew for a while that she didnt liek Ryoko, therefore its understandable why she doesn't like show. this in itself proves what i mentioned above and have said many times before. perhaps if ryoko didnt play such an important roll in TM, maybe you would like the show Jibril? interesting.... So i still wonder to myself, why it is that shes still here pressing this same tired old argument. |

thats exactly right. freedom of speech for sure. but sometimes if you have nothing nice to say (especially if you've said it before...) dont say anything at all. i dont think i have ever imposed my negative views of a character anywhere on this board where it was inappropriate to do so and when i do im always objective about it. that said, i dont really feel negatively about any of the main characters on the show (not counting ova 3 lol). they have their parts to play. its just that some are more important than others. |
