Looks like the day of reckoning is at hand for Ezboard users ...

A little while ago I made a Yuku account just to play around with it ... and no I did not give them mine or anyone else's cel phone number, they apparently did away with that requirement. However, despite what Lord LaBattemort says up above, I found Yuku to be clunky, not intuitive at all, had no help documentation whatsoever, and riddled up one side and down the other with bugs (some pages wouldn't even render correctly in IE). Yuku has a very long way to go before it can reach a usefulness quality camparable to livejournal.

On another note, if anyone is interested in saving the parts of the old board that weren't converted, I still have the bot script setup to crawl Ezboards and convert to phpBB. The output database would have to be merged with this one to make one board out of it. However, that's something I've never attempted myself so I'm not sure of what might happen.

Oh, and BTW it's lovely to see that LaBattemort is using to host his own blog. Such inspiring confidence has he in Yuku. XD

I like your idea, MJH... Maybe we could put the old forum onto a new phpBB forum, they try to merge the two so it doesn't affect (or potentially destroy) this one.

That's right! They are SO PARANOID about anyone who might show them in a bad light, that they've PAID MONEY to stop someone from taking out the domain name "yukusucks.com" (Robert Labatt is CEO of ezboard, in case some of you didn't know)!

I think that's hilarious that they're trying to lock down any domain names that may be used to make fun of Yuku. What an extrodinary waste of money. They can't get every domain name.

There's an Ezboard forum called "Anime Sucks" that used to send trolls out to harrass people at anime themed forums like this one. After one had come and pooped on one of my anime forums, I complained to Ezboard about it, and pretty much all that they said was "we can't do anything to them unless they do something illegal". Ezboard sure changes their tone when it's their own interests that are threatened, don't they?

Also, the forum conversion has been completed. Please take a look (use the link a few posts back) and see if there are any serious errors. If so, the conversion process can be run on individual forum sections again if needed.
